Start the morning with an 8:30 pick-up by your guide at your hotel.

The south shore day really shows off the extreme contrasts of the Icelandic nature. You will head out of Reykjavik in your modified super-truck with your guide at the wheel and head out towards the South coast.
 

Drive through a lava field caused by an eruption about 5000 years ago. Cross over the geothermal hotspot area on the mountain moore of Hellisheidi and down into the hot spring area of Hveragerdi, one of Icelands largest greenhouse agriculture centers.
 

Continue through the lush lowlands of the South West, but soon the interior mountain range rises above the horizon crowned by some of the first southern glaciers.
 

You will take a brief stop at Hvolsvollur before you start your explorations of the day.
 

Head for the slot canyon at Nauthusagil for a hike through the canyon to the waterfall at the bottom. Continue on to Skogarfoss, one of Icelands most impressive waterfall where it is in fact possible to hike up to the top of the falls to enjoy an unparalleled view of the South Shore.
 

On to the black sands of Reynisfjara with its magnificent basalt formations and stone pillars rising from the ocean.

Stop at the Seljalandsfoss waterfall and Gljufrabui if time allows.

We meet up with our partners at SouthShore Adventures up by Myrdalsjokull Glacier, which sits upon the Volcano Katla and head through tracks in the wilderness up to the glacier for a hike on the glacier and exploration of the natural ice caves there.
