Arrive in Iceland

• Enjoy the day acclimating before your ride tomorrow. Leave your luggage, get a lunch, do some shopping, find a coffee shop. Enjoy Reykjavik.

On the first day of our seven-day motorcycle tour, we’ll depart from our hometown Selfoss and ride through some of Iceland’s most stunning natural wonders. 

• Our first stop is Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the birthplace of the world’s oldest continually running parliament. As we ride through the park, you’ll see the breathtaking Almannagjá gorge and learn about the geological and cultural history of this unique region.

• Next, we’ll head north towards the impressive glacier Langjökull, where we’ll ride along a mountain road with stunning views of the surrounding landscape. You’ll feel the thrill of the open road as we navigate through winding turns and steep inclines, all while taking in the awe-inspiring scenery. 

• Along the way, we’ll stop to snap photos and enjoy the incredible natural beauty that surrounds us.

• We’ll then head to the picturesque town of Húsafell, nestled in a valley surrounded by mountains and glaciers. Here, we’ll take a break and explore the stunning surroundings, including the nearby waterfalls and hot springs. 

• After a delicious lunch, we’ll continue our ride through Arnarvatnsheiði, a unique mountain region with breathtaking views and challenging terrain.

• Finally, we’ll arrive in Hrútafjörður, a beautiful coastal town where we’ll spend our first night. Take some time to relax and unwind, perhaps enjoying a delicious seafood dinner and soaking in the scenic beauty of the area.

On day two of our motorcycle tour, we'll travel to one of the most remote and breathtaking areas of Iceland - Strandir. 

• Our ride will take us through rugged landscapes and along the stunning northern coast of the Westfjords, as we make our way toward Djupavik. 

• Our ride will take us to the very end of a driveable road in Ofeigsfjordur. From there, it's only possible to walk the rest of the area. We'll take some time to explore the stunning surroundings and take in the natural beauty of this remote region. 

• On our way back, we'll stop at a wonderful geothermal pool named Krossneslaug, a very special pool indeed located on the rocky seashore. This pool is a perfect place to relax and take a hot nourishing dip, with a beautiful view of the surrounding coastline.

• After our soak, we'll return to Djupavik, where we'll spend the night. 

Trip highlights: Djupavik, town Ofeigsfjordur Ingolfsfjordur Krossaneslaug, a very nice pool located in the rocky seashore Vik i Myrdal is Iceland's southernmost village, framed by sea stacks and glacier-capped peaks.

On Shoulders Of Giants Get ready for an adventurous day of off-road riding and breathtaking scenery on the third day of our motorcycle tour of Iceland. 

• We'll leave Djupavik village early in the morning and head westward, as we make our way toward the stunning Flokalundur area. 

• We'll travel over several mountains, including Steingrimsfjardarheidi, Kollafjardarheidi, and Thingmannaheidi, which are all known for their challenging terrain and spectacular views. These mountain roads are a true test of our riding talents, as we navigate through steep inclines and winding turns. 

• As we ride along, we'll see some of the most remote and untouched areas of Iceland, with views of rugged landscapes, deep fjords, and sweeping valleys. This is a trail that almost no one travels on, providing a unique and unforgettable experience of Iceland's natural beauty. 

• Finally, we'll arrive at the stunning Flokalundur hotel, which overlooks the sea and offers a perfect spot to relax and gather strength for the next day's adventures. Here, we'll enjoy the natural pool at Hellulaug, a geothermal hot spring located right on the beach. 

• Take a dip and soak in the stunning natural surroundings and enjoy the peaceful and serene beauty of this remote region. Flokalundur is the perfect spot to unwind after a thrilling day of off-road riding and adventure. Enjoy the scenic beauty of the area and get ready for another day of exciting riding through Iceland's breathtaking landscapes. 

• Trip highlights: Steingrimsfjardarheidi, mountain road Kollafjardarheidi, mountain road Thingmannaheidi, mountain road Flokalundur, Hotel Hellulaug, natural pool Vik i Myrdal is Iceland's southernmost village, framed by sea stacks and glacier-capped peaks.

We'll begin our ride in Flokalundur and travel through narrow fjords and mountainous terrain, taking in the breathtaking views of the Breidafjordur bay and its hundreds of islands and islets. 

• Our first stop is Raudisandur beach, one of the most unique and picturesque beaches in the world. The beach's red sand and crystal-clear waters provide a perfect backdrop for some stunning photographs. 

• Next, we'll visit Latrabjarg cliff, the westernmost point in Europe, and a birdwatcher's paradise. This cliff is home to thousands of birds, including puffins, guillemots, and razorbills. We'll have the opportunity to get up close and personal with these beautiful birds and take in the stunning views of the coastline from atop the cliff. 

• Finally, we'll end our day in the small town of Patreksfjordur, where we'll enjoy a delicious meal and spend the evening relaxing in outdoor hot tubs overlooking the fjord. This peaceful and serene location provides the perfect spot to unwind after a long day of riding and adventure. Patreksfjordur is a charming town with a rich cultural history, and we'll have the opportunity to learn about the area's fascinating past and explore its quaint shops and cafes.

Get ready for a stunning ride through some of the most spectacular landscapes and fjords

• We'll leave Patreksfjordur and travel through a variety of different fjords, each with its own unique character and natural beauty. 

• As we ride, we'll pass through mountain passes that offer breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, and travel to the bottom of small fjords that are home to beautiful lakes, waterfalls, and rivers. 

• The natural beauty of the region is truly awe-inspiring, and we'll have plenty of opportunities to stop and take in the stunning scenery. 

• One of the highlights of the day is the Dynjandi waterfall, one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Iceland. This beautiful waterfall will suddenly and almost unexpectedly grab your attention, with its powerful rush of water and stunning natural surroundings. 

• As we continue our ride, we'll make our way to the charming town of Thingeyri, located in the scenic fjord Dyrafjordur. 

Trip highlights: A very nice Mountain view Beautiful Fjords Dynjandi, Waterfall Thingeyri

We'll start our day with a short ride to a ferry that will take us over the bay into the famous Snaefellsnes Peninsula. 

• This area is known for inspiring books like "Journey to the Center of the Earth," series like "Game of Thrones," movies like "Secret Life of Walter Mitty," and many more. 

• As we ride through this stunning region, we'll pass through a number of charming villages and scenic spots, stopping to take in the beauty of the area. One of the highlights of the day is Stykkisholmur, a village with unique and stunning architecture. 

• We'll also visit Kirkjufell, a majestic mountain known as "Church Mountain" due to its unique shape and towering presence. As we continue our ride, we'll pass through Grundarfjordur, a beautiful village situated on the shores of a scenic fjord. 

• We'll also visit Olafsvik, a charming town that's home to several historic buildings and cultural landmarks. 

• Another highlight of the day is Svortuloft lighthouse, a stunning structure perched atop a rocky cliff that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding coastline. 

• We'll also visit Djupalonssandur beach, a picturesque stretch of coastline that's home to unique rock formations and stunning natural beauty. 

• We'll make our way to Malarrif lighthouse, where we'll have the opportunity to take in the stunning views of the surrounding landscape and learn about the history of the area. 

• We'll also visit the charming villages of Arnarstapi and Hellnar, where we'll have the opportunity to enjoy and experience the rich history and culture of the region. 

Trip highlights: Stykkisholmur, village Kirkjufell, Church mountain Grundarfjordur, village Olafsvik, town Svortuloft, lighthouse Djupalonssandur, beach Malarrif, lighthouse Arnarstapi, Village Hellnar, village Vik i Myrdal is Iceland's southernmost village, framed by sea stacks and glacier-capped peaks. Snaefellsnes is called 'Iceland in Miniature' for its glaciers, lava fields, cliffs, and fishing villages.

• On the last day of our motorcycle tour, we'll take the old mountain road to the southern part of Snaefellsnes before riding through a long, flat area known as Myrar to Borgarnes. This town is a popular stop for those traveling between south and north Iceland on F1 and offers plenty of opportunities to refuel and grab a bite to eat. 

• From Borgarnes, we'll ride to Skorradalsvatn, a beautiful lake surrounded by stunning mountain scenery. 

• Our ride continues along Kjosaskardsvegur to Thingvellir National Park, where we'll have the opportunity to explore the stunning natural landscapes and rich cultural history of this important site. We'll then make our way back to Selfoss, where our journey began. 

• End your bike tour back in Reykjavik 

Trip highlights: Borgarnes, town Skorradalsvatn, lake Hvalfjordur,whale fjord Thingvellir, National Park Reykjavik is the world's northernmost capital-compact, creative, and easy to explore on foot. Thingvellir is a UNESCO site sitting on the rift between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates.

Last Day 

• Check out and leave your luggage while you enjoy a free day to explore Reykjavik. 

• Let IcelandX arrange your airport transfer for your return to the states.
