Northern Lights Quest: Aurora
A Fully Escorted Journey Through Iceland’s Winter Landscapes
DAY-1 Arrival in Iceland & The Golden Circle

Upon arrival in Iceland, your private guide and vehicle will be waiting to welcome you and begin your journey.
Travel through the dramatic lava fields of the Reykjanes Peninsula before heading into the world-famous Golden Circle route.
Visit Þingvellir National Park, where guests can walk between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates — a rare geological rift that defines Iceland’s landscape.
Continue through Iceland’s geothermal heartland to the powerful Gullfoss Waterfall, followed by the active geothermal area of Geysir, where bubbling hot springs and erupting geysers bring the earth to life.
This region also offers wide-open skies and, conditions permitting, your first opportunity to glimpse the Northern Lights.
Overnight: Hotel Geysir or similar
DAY 2 - South Coast Waterfalls & Volcanic Landscapes

Travel through the fertile farmlands of South Iceland, where green fields gradually give way to mountains, lava fields, and black sand plains.
Stop at the majestic Skógafoss Waterfall, one of Iceland’s most iconic natural landmarks and a highlight of the South Coast.
Continue through a cinematic landscape of shifting terrain — from lush farmland to vast volcanic deserts, glacial river plains, and dramatic coastal formations that feel almost otherworldly.
This is a day defined by contrast, where Iceland’s raw geological power is on full display.
Overnight: Fosshotel Glacier Lagoon or similar
DAY 3 - Vatnajökull Glacier, Ice Cave & Diamond Beach

Explore the extraordinary Vatnajökull Glacier region, home to Iceland’s ever-changing natural ice caves. These rare formations are created through seasonal glacier movement and the natural cycles of melt and refreeze.
Step inside a surreal world of luminous blue ice — a truly unique Arctic experience found only in a handful of locations worldwide.
Continue to the breathtaking Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, where massive icebergs drift silently through deep glacial waters.
Just nearby, visit the famous Diamond Beach, where fragments of ancient ice wash ashore and rest against black volcanic sand, creating a striking contrast of light and texture.
Overnight: Hotel Vík or similar
DAY-4 Black Sand Coastline & Return to Reykjavík

Travel back along the South Coast with stops at some of Iceland’s most dramatic coastal landscapes.
Walk among the basalt columns and powerful waves of Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, followed by panoramic views from Dyrhólaey, where sea cliffs meet the Atlantic horizon.
Continue inland with stops at Gljúfrabúi and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls, where water cascades over ancient cliffs and, in certain conditions, can be walked behind for a truly immersive experience.
Cross the Hengill geothermal region before arriving in Reykjavík in the late afternoon.
Enjoy the city’s vibrant energy, with world-class dining, cafés, galleries, and nightlife all within walking distance.
Overnight: Fosshotel Reykjavík Saga or similar
DAY 5 - Reykjavík at Leisure & Northern Lights Boat Experience

Enjoy a relaxed day in Reykjavík exploring at your own pace.
Highlights may include boutique shopping, Harpa Concert Hall, Hallgrímskirkja Church, or a stroll around the charming city center and Tjörnin Pond.
In the evening, set out on a Northern Lights boat excursion, offering a unique opportunity to view the Aurora Borealis from the open waters of the North Atlantic, away from city light pollution.
Overnight: Fosshotel Reykjavík Saga or similar
DAY-6 Departure

Enjoy a final morning in Reykjavík for last-minute exploration or a quiet coffee in one of the city’s cafés.
Take in the colorful streets, including the famous Rainbow Road, before meeting your private driver for your transfer to the airport.
