Summer North-South Adventure

Your vehicle and private guide will be waiting upon your early morning arrival to begin your adventure. Head through the rugged lava fields of the Reykjanes peninsula towards the splendor of the Golden Circle. Walk through the rift valley between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates at Thingvellir National Park. Continue to the active geothermal area of Geysir, where the Strokkur geyser spouts every few minutes. Your final stop is the spectacular golden waterfall, Gullfoss, before arriving at your hotel.

Travel through the lush farmlands of South Iceland before approaching the mountainous highland ridge. Stop at the majestic Skogafoss waterfall before the landscape transforms before your eyes. Experience a "Game of Thrones-like" transition from green fields to the vast, haunting black sands, lava fields, and deserts carved out by glacial rivers.

Today is dedicated to exploring the incredible Vatnajökull Glacier and its treasures. You will enter a mesmerizing Ice Cave that has formed naturally during the summer melt, a spectacular world of blue ice. Afterward, we’ll visit the mesmerizing Glacier Lagoon, where icebergs float serenely. Walk along the famed Diamond Beach, where chunks of glacial ice sparkle like jewels against the black sand.

Continue your journey along the South Coast, where the land meets the sea in dramatic fashion. See the amazing rock formations and basalt columns of Reynisfjara, the iconic black sand beach, and take in the breathtaking views from Dyrhólaey. We will then visit two more beautiful waterfalls, the hidden Gljufrarbui and the powerful Seljalandsfoss, before crossing the geothermal mountain range of Hengill. You'll arrive in the vibrant capital of Reykjavik in the late afternoon.

Enjoy a day on your own to explore the charming city of Reykjavik. You can explore the city's many museums and boutiques, feed the ducks at Lake Tjornin, or simply relax in one of the great coffee houses. In the evening, you will embark on a Northern Lights Boat Ride from the Reykjavik pier. Heading out into the vast ocean, you will be far from the city lights, providing optimum conditions for viewing the aurora.

This last morning in Reykjavik is yours to enjoy at your leisure. It's a perfect time for some last-minute souvenir shopping or a final Icelandic pastry before your journey home. In the afternoon, your private driver will meet you for a seamless transfer back to Keflavik Airport for your departure.
